ASAC provides prevention services to serve individuals and families. Family prevention services are focused on increasing the knowledge and skills needed to help prevent substance use disorders and training on identifying the signs and symptoms of a substance use disorder.
Individual prevention services aim to identify problems early before they develop into a substance use disorder. ASAC can provide individual or small group education when a youth or young adult has had some involvement with substances but does not meet the criteria for treatment. In addition, we offer the 12 hour course required by those under the age of 18 that receive an OWI charge. All of our educational programs utilize evidence based curriculum proven to reduce substance use and increase critical life skills needed to reduce their risk of future harm related to substances.
